Since today was supposed to be the day anti-Net Neutrality rules officially put into effect (It got pushed back to April 27th) I figured it's time to do the final journal of my Net Neutrality series. I'll put together a few reasons why you shouldn't be scared of the ordeal.

#1. Net Neutrality rules only got put into effect June 2015, And the internet was fine before then.

Many of you probably know this one. but if you don't, These Net-Neutrality rules only officially got put into place in June 2015, less than 3 years ago. Chances are, You didn't have to pay any extra money back then. If the rules get repealed, It will likely just be the same as it was before June 2015.

#2. You don't hear this on TV.

If word was going around that Net Neutrality was going to end on April 23rd or April 27th or whatever, Surely channels like CNN, Fox News and ABC would've been talking about it as far back as February 23rd when the original date was announced, I never saw any of these channels talking about anything regarding the situation, Even on last December 14th i never remembered seeing any of these talking about NN. And this is probably evidence that this whole thing is at least partly fake and the internet is becoming too paranoid.

#3. Even if you did have to pay extra money, realistically it's only going to be a few more dollars than normal.

Let's say i've been wrong about this and we did pay extra money, I've read somewhere that the only change would be paying extra taxes. I've read that the internet today costs $54 monthly to maintain. I've never seen taxes for anything costing $54 be more than like $1 or $2, So the most amount you'd have to pay monthly if these taxes do become put into effect is like $8 or something.

#4. 83% of people from the USA support NN. If it all goes down, 270 million people would likely protest against the FCC.

So, If everything goes down, The FCC better be prepared to take a lot of heat. A study in December 2017 concluded that 83% of the USA with a population of 326 million people as of me typing this support NN. That's 270 million people that will likely protest or take some other course of action against the FCC if they decided to take NN down.

#5. If all else fails, Know that it will probably only be 3 to 7 years for everything to go back to normal.

Ajlt Pai will not lead the FCC forever, He's only serving under Trump and next president which will likely be a Democrat will likely not put anyone like Pai in charge of the FCC. Save up a couple hundred dollars, And you'll likely have enough to survive for 7 more years.

I want to believe you, but the fact that you "listen to Fox News" makes it hard for me to do so.
